Project Team

Team Description

The team consisted of two UI designers and one UX designer along with the project owner. The entire project was completed in 4 weeks.

The project team consisted of the following members :

What was the Problem?

  • The current design of the application was too formal and complex.
  • The usage of brand colors was not balanced, with increased use of the primary color blue.
  • The icons and real-life images made the application less approachable and user-friendly, misaligning with the brand's principles of trust and transparency.

What were the Goals?

  • To re-design the entire user interface according to the given user flow.
  • Give Konster a fresh look with clean and minimal user interface.

What was the Solution?

  • To make the app look minimal and simple, the use of blue was reduced by balancing the colors with a 60-30-10 rule: 60% white, 30% blue, and 10% yellow.
  • Illustrations and simplified icons were used to make the platform look more friendly and approachable.

User Interface Understanding and Inspiration

We drew inspiration from apps like ANGI, Task Rabbit, and Urban Company to study their user interface, color choices, and icons, which helped us design a simpler and more user-friendly interface for Konster.


User Experience Understanding

To create a smooth user flow for the app, we studied how Urban Company handles service bookings. Even though the apps are in different fields, the common process of booking services online helped us understand the user journey from finding a service to booking it. This insight helped us improving the booking experience on Konster.

Konster’s New Look

By streamlining the colour scheme, simplifying icons, and improving the booking flow, we created a simpler, minimalist and more user-friendly UI for Konster.

Currently the app is under a MVP stage and next step for the company is to get a funding and then focus on development of the application.
